Co-founder of syp. Former captain of the USF men's soccer team.
I played four years of college soccer at the University of South Florida. Every sprint I ran was tracked to the metre and every night's sleep to the minute. How much water I drank was a guess.
After a groin injury that kept coming back, our athletic trainers and I worked out that part of the reason was dehydration. I'd been running low for months without knowing it. That's why I co-founded syp with Rima, our team's student manager, and later Nicolas, my old captain and roommate: a bottle sleeve that measures what you actually drink.
I write here about hydration, sport, and what it's actually like to build a hardware company as an athlete.
Getting syp ready for its Kickstarter launch on October 27, 2026. I also write The Hydration Ledger, a plain-language library on hydration science.
